Auckland District Health Board (Auckland DHB)is one of the largest healthcare providers in New Zealand offering a wide range of tertiary and quaternary clinical services to a large and diverse population. We have state of the art facilities and provide our services from three hospitals - Auckland City Hospital, Starship Children's Health and Greenlane Clinical Centre.
OurPatient Service Centredepartment provides support to the clinical department by managing their outpatient clinic receptions, processing referrals and making initial and followup appointments for our patients. Our team collectively makes about 850,000 outpatient appointments and over 300,000 surgical bookings per year.
Our Team Supervisor roles support the Team Leaders in managing day to day operations of their teams of staff providing services at the clinic receptions, referrals administration, scheduling of clinics and surgical theatre bookings.
This is a very busy role requiring high aptitude and time management skills as well as advanced interpersonal and computer skills. You will need to be flexible and have the ability to learn quickly and prioritise tasks efficiently. You will show empathy towards patients and be passionate about working with people from various cultures. You must have excellent communication skits both written and verbally.
Our core hours for the above role are primarily structured around the clinic hours but could vary depending on changes of the service. The day's hours could vary anytime between 8:00 am through to 6.30pm, Monday to Friday.
Prior hospital and supervising experience will be a distinct advantage. However those with appropriate skills will be considered. Role specific training will be provided.
