The Team
Our Information Services Group are looking for a competent Business Systems Analyst who can technically lead and deliver clinical systems across the South Islands health system.
The Information Services Group (ISG) within the Canterbury District Health Board have a wide variety of responsibilities including the provision and maintenance of hardware and software, systems delivery, capability development, and project services for the Canterbury region. What we do helps our clinicians care for our patients.
The Role
The Senior Business Systems Analyst will bring strong team support skills, technical excellence and innovation to the team, while setting and maintaining high technical standards for the team, vendors and other DHB's to adhere to.
In this role, you will be responsible for the following:
Be able to motivate the team members, facilitate team activities and organise team work in a process oriented manner and with the aid of the Team Leader
Be responsible for nurturing/enforcing and monitoring the product technical excellence at a high quality. More specifically, as technical lead you will be responsible for ensuring this is realised by the whole team
Sponsor innovation in the team work by ensuring optimal use of the analysis and configuration tool set in a dynamic environment which encourages a desire to experiment and try new and unconventional solutions
Be responsible for organising the accumulated knowledge and information gained by the team, and making it available and easy to retrieve whenever needed by any team member or other support staff
Together with the product owner be the conduit between the CDHB Information Services Group, vendors, our internal customers and other DHB's, ensuring that communications are two way and meaningful
Have ideally at least five years of analysis and configuration experience coupled with some leadership experience
Understand your customer needs and build a customer culture that is always asking what you as a supplier can do for your customers
Experience in a SCRUM and Hybrid Cloud environments an advantage
Your skills will include the following:
Ideally at least five years of analysis and configuration experience coupled with some leadership experience
Sound technical specification writing/documentation skills
Proven understanding of all aspects of the systems/software development lifecycle
Technical knowledge of programming, system design, IT infrastructure and database concepts
Experience in a SCRUM environment is advantageous
Knowledge of health environments is preferable
A tertiary level qualification in Business, Science, Information Services, Engineering or related field is preferable
