Trade Me's Data and Insights team have the crucial role of looking after the data that includes approximately 6 billion searches that go into the Trade Me platform each year. Using the latest and greatest technologies, the teamwork collaboratively across the business to provide reliable, accurate and efficient data systems.
Our Wellington team are looking for a passionate Senior Insights Analyst with commercial acumen, who has a keen interest in working with all things data and keen to contribute to Trade Me's core strategies.

Provide reliable and accurate insights and analysis to add value and drive business improvement.
Collaborate with teams across the company and serve as an internal expert on technical issues.
Interpret complex data into meaningful insights to support sales and marketing strategies, pricing and promotions.
Identify, analyse, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets using the appropriate tool for the job. Including tasks such as (but not limited to): Churn/Attrition Modelling, KPI Reporting, Product Experiments, Search Performance, RFM Customer Segmentation, Channel Attribution Modelling
Provide mentoring and coaching to other members of Analytics team, helping them to understand different approaches, tools, and insights
So far so good? What we're looking for from you is:
A senior level of experience in a BI and/or analytics role.
A natural ability to think outside the square and really add value to the business through your reporting.
Strong technical skills in SQL and experience using R or Python. Google Data Products (ie. Google Analytics, Big Query) would be a bonus but not essential.
A focus not only on the data, but also the commercial ramifications.
Confidence to share your opinion constructively with the business, based on your data insights.
You're a team player who shares ideas, and contributes to team goals and objectives.
