Senior External Communications Advisor - Customer Communications

Fixed term role, until July 2020

We have an award winning Marketing Communications team here at Inland Revenue (IR), and have a fantastic fixed term opportunity available.

At Inland Revenue, we're making the tax system simpler, more open and certain for New Zealanders. To support this, our Marketing Communications team need a Senior Communications Advisor who can put themselves in our customers' shoes, and deliver smart, targeted solutions.

In this role you will be providing comprehensive external communications planning and delivery. Confidence using social media for communications would be an advantage. You'll know how to build professional relationships and how to best influence others.

You'll be running the full lifecycle of customer communications projects, from initiation through to successful delivery, tying off any loose ends. We'll be looking to see your solid experience in creating communications plans, demonstrating customer centric thinking, attention to detail and rigour in your approach.

You'll work at pace; you're someone who makes things happen. This is a senior level role, so we'll be looking to see your ability to think and deliver at both an operational and strategic level.
