Victoria University Information Technology Services (ITS) delivers and supports IT services to a diverse student body of over 20,000 and a staff of 3,000 located over four campuses. The IT Procurement team is responsible for purchasing computer equipment, software and phone services for the University. This includes managing site licenses for software and providing information to Schools and Central Service Units on standards for computer equipment and software.

A permanent role for an IT Procurement Specialist has become available for an immediate start. The successful candidate will be able to assist with the purchasing of ICT assets, administer hardware and software assets, licensing and other ICT service contracts and provide information and guidance to staff members.

Knowledge of purchasing practices and procedures within a University or Public Sector environment would be ideal but candidates with general procurement experience are welcome to apply. Some general knowledge of computing, IT terminology and the IT market and industry is desirable but not essential. Experience in the administration of contracts and agreements, and service level agreements and reporting, will be useful. Demonstrated experience in client service and relationship management, with both internal clients and external supplier would be very important.
