Nurse Leader at Avondale Health Centre Are you passionate about nursing and improving health outcomes in primary care Can you effectively lead a team as a member of a progressive management group Do you want to work in a friendly communityfocused practice brilliantly located for major transport links Do you have a passion for nursing leadership and making strategic decisions to maintain the highest level of care and productivity We have a new opportunity for a nurse leader at our friendly Inner West General Practice Leading a team of three nurses you will be a valued member of a supportive and progressive management team meeting regularly and offering updates from a nursing perspective to contribute to practice strategy Along with experience in leadership you will need to be a competent smear taker and vaccinator and be able to take bloods insert IV lines and give IV fluids An understanding of the quality indicators and targets for General Practice is crucial with a passion to exceed these As an established Cornerstone accredited practice with three full time doctors working in a united team of 12 staff we provide health care for our patients in a caring community focused environment Strengths Caring and passionate in patient care Empathetic leader and communicator Clinical acumen and a willingness to share your knowledge Skills Able to develop and support strategies to optimise care productivity and meeting targets along with a good understanding of funding streams Easily and quickly able to use practice management software effectively Good knowledge of Care Plans and Chronic Care management We are looking for someone who is happy to think outside the box and is able to see new opportunities and pursue them with ambition and initiative Someone who is kind a good listener and most of all a team player The position is for 1 FTE however the days and hours are negotiable
