Nurse Coordinator - ICNet™, IPC team
0.5 FTE (20 hours) fixed-term, June 2021 (Monday to Friday role with days to suit service requirements and some negotiation available)
Co-ordinate activity, provide leadership and enhance the development of knowledge in the utilisation of the national electronic surveillance system within the national Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) community

The Team
The CDHB Infection Prevention and Control ICNet™ team is seeking an experienced registered nurse to join their team. We are set to roll out the ICNet™ data base /data collection service nationally and as the hub of expertise here in Christchurch, we are seeking a coordinator to help to coordinate and facilitate this process. As a member of this team you will work collaboratively with staff and management to ensure the clinical and operational requirements of the service are met and standards and policies consistent with best practice are introduced.
You will have the ability to provide support both locally and nationally, your technical ability, nursing knowledge, clinical skills, problem solving abilities and excellent interpersonal skills will ensure you build successful relationships with a diverse range of health professionals in this advanced role.
Previous experience working in the area of infection prevention and control would be a significant advantage
The Role
The ICNet™ Clinical Nurse Co-ordinator role will see you co-ordinate activity, provide leadership and enhance the development of knowledge and clinical practice within the New Zealand Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) community in the utilisation of the national electronic surveillance system.
Your ability to work effectively both autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team in a variety of situations with both individuals and groups is imperative in this service as you are responsible for providing support, education and recommendations to clinical staff across a wide variety of disciplines
A proactive solution focused approach is imperative to this role
Your knowledge, clinical expertise and leadership skills in addition to diplomacy, respect and professionalism, will be key to engaging with staff and patients to ensure your success in this role
