Night Supervisor (Work at 2 Refuge Safe Houses located in West & South Auckland)eight73 consulting – Auckland, North IslandAre you passionate about the wellbeing and safety of wahine, Tamariki and whanau?Te Whare Aio and Te Whare o NgaTumanako Maori Women's Refuges have combined 'forces' and are looking for a dynamic, motivated and experienced individual to join this amazing team working across Tamaki Makaurau – Auckland.You will be working between two refuge Safe Houses which are based in West Auckland and South Auckland, so where you live is not an issue. This is a night shift role and is full time permanent, between 7.00pm and 3.30am Thursday to Monday (Tuesday and Wednesday off).During your first 3 months you will be well supported with induction training at both refuge Safe House sites and in the Ellerslie office, so flexibility with location is a MUST over this period.In this role you will provide supervision and security for wahine and their Tamariki in the Safe Houses, as well as crisis line response – completing assessments, and completing intake in Safe Houses.The right person will have:An understanding of the dynamics dealing with whanau transforming from whanau violence.Experience working with vulnerable whanau experiencing Family Harm.Conflict management and de-escalation techniques.Understanding of Tikanga and a commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi Principles.Excellent communication, listening skills and computer skills.Clear professional boundaries and a non-judgmental manner.Being highly motivated, positive, solution focused and a team player are a must.Flexible attitude and 'can do' approach.High level of self-awareness.Ability to multi-task and deal with competing priorities.Ability to work in a fluid and sometimes stressful environment.A clean, full driver's licence and positive police vetting results under the Vulnerable Children's Act.NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.Why Join Us?On top of this we pay for you to have your birthday off and one day a quarter as a wellness day!High investment in personal and professional development, including paid external supervision.We are committed to making a difference in our communities for the wahine/tamariki and whanau we serve, so if you want to be part of a strong change-making team - we want to hear from you!
