Qualifications

Do you want to be part of a team that takespride in providing essential community services? Are you reliable and hardworking? We have an opportunity for a WastewaterNetwork Operator to join our team based in the Queenstown Lakes District.
Reporting to the Maintenance Coordinator, yourmain responsibility will be for the preventative maintenance of the area’swastewater assets, including but not limited to the operation of the wastewaterpump stations, with additional assistance across the water and stormwaternetworks teams.
To be successful in this role you will requirea good practical approach along with strong teamwork skills and importantly, theability to work autonomously in your everyday tasks.
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
·Excellentproblem solving skills and initiative
·Effectiveorganisation and time management skills
·Relevantor related experience in this type of work
·Commitmentto continual learning and development
·Strongsafety awareness
·Anunderstanding of the Three Waters network preferred but not essential
A full class 1 drivers’ licence is required forthis role. The following would be anadvantage but not essential - class 2, class 4, WTR endorsement and plumbing ordrain laying qualification. Basic computer literacy e.g. email, internet.
