A Victorian Government organisation that plays a vital part in the community requires a Senior Network Engineer until the end of financial year, location in Melbournes CBD. This role will most likely be extended for a further 6-12 months.

Your new role
Vacancy due to a major upgrade project across the organisation, you will be responsible for:
Leading a network transition from a traditional MPLS design to a direct internet / VPN model.
Work through the initial design, through implementation of a pilot site group of approximately 10 for a wider deployment to 1700 sites (future project/opportunity).
Document design concepts and communicate to key stakeholders within the organisation.
Work autonomously to drive the success of the integration and upgrade of new technology.
Be a part of a larger team passionate about technology and achieving results.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Strong Network design and implementation experience with MPLS and VPN
Autonomous working ability
Previously designed and deployed upgrade solutions from start to finish.
Your written and verbal communication is exceptional to clearly document designs and be able to communicate to stakeholders within the organisation
