NDT INSPECTOR DUNEDIN WHO IS SGS SGS is the world s leading inspection verification testing and certification company SGS is recognized as the global benchmark for quality and integrity With more than 97 000 employees SGS operates a network of over 2 600 offices and laboratories around the world We are looking to appoint an NDT Inspector in our Industrial NonDestructive Testing Materials Services team based in Dunedin Reporting to the NDT Materials Services Operations Manager for South Island the primary responsibilities of the role is to provide NDT testing welding inspection and consultancy services to light and heavy industry clients to help them solve their maintenance problems and to perform specialist NDT checks and evaluations of existing plant welds mechanical failures corrosion and erosion and advising and supervising repairs You will have the functional and technical knowledge and skills to do the job with a high level of accomplishment with a minimum of five years practical work experience in the NDT industry NDT Level II certifications Ultrasonic qualifications is a must have and other qualifications such as Radiographic or Eddy Current testing Magnetic particle testing Dye Penetrant testing Phased array and TOFD are beneficial You will also have excellent verbal and written communication skills and can communicate clearly and succinctly in a variety of settings getting messages across that have the desired effect You will provide the highest quality services and meet the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers You will be able to use rigorous logic and methods to solve problems with effective solutions see hidden problems and look beyond the obvious This job involves travelling and therefore a New Zealand driver licence is required Our people bring passion and commitment to our work We encourage new ideas and welcome people who challenge the way we do things Work for us and we will be 100 committed to helping you reach your full potential Please visit the recruitment and jobs section on the global Career SGS website for full position details and application links
