National Operations Manager - Third Party DistributionOur aspiration is to be the best Third Party team in New Zealand, helping more Kiwis achieve their business and home ownership goals.
Due to an internal move, we have an exciting opportunity to join ASB Third Party Distribution's senior leadership team as our National Operations Manager.This critical role will be responsible for all operational risk and compliance requirements within Third Party Distribution.
It includes overseeing all operational functions such as our Support Hub, Onboarding and Accreditation team, GO AIA Home Loans, NZHL Contact Centre, and managing Mortgage Adviser Conduct and Compliance.The National Operations Manager will oversee the efficient and compliant operation of the business across all regions.
Key responsibilities include managing risk, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, overseeing contracts and supplier relationships, and maintaining secure commission payment systems.
The role also involves leading lending maintenance and customer service teams to ensure high performance and alignment with organizational goals.
Additionally, the role is crucial in preparing for audits and staying ahead of regulatory changes to ensure ongoing compliance and operational readiness.We seek a leader who can provide clear direction, guidance, and support.
The ideal candidate is proactive, confident, and capable of fostering a successful team environment.Applicants should have proven leadership experience, thrive in fast-paced settings, possess excellent attention to detail, and have a strong operational background, including regulatory risk management and prioritization skills.Your passion, drive, and enthusiasm should be evident, complemented by well-developed problem-solving, relationship-building, and communication skills to coach, motivate, and inspire a high-performing team.To succeed, you will need strong communication skills, strategic thinking, experience managing external relationships, and a solid background in lending within financial services.
A deep understanding of compliance, risk management, change management, and continuous improvement principles is essential.
Knowledge of ASB's credit policy and lending processes, along with familiarity with the Third-Party Distribution workflow, will be advantageous.
