The role We are actively seeking a Team Lead to support our Muslim Wellbeing Otautahi team in delivering a range of services to diverse communities within our Muslim community. The position would suit experienced practitioner with a background in health or social services, for individuals who hold a range of skills and qualities that includes: Being a natural and inspirational leader, who leads by example and demonstrates integrity with the proven ability to face hard decisions with confidence. Exude enthusiasm and passion for the work you do that inspires and motivates your team to succeed and feel valued. Awareness of Te Ao Maori at a basic level in workplace communications or a strong willingness to learn. Possess a good understanding of an Islamic world view and principles that underscore health and wellness in Islam and within a NZ context. Ability to implement system and processes for assessment, intervention and risk management.Effectively manage team processes, culture and wellbeing Effectively distribute information to your team and stakeholders with the ability to communicate with a wide range of people, lead meetings, maintain good documentation and plans. Possess a good understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and how it applies to Purapura Whetu delivery of safe, fair practice. A good understanding of religious, ethnic, cultural backgrounds is essential.
