Minimum Hours per week: at least 30 hours per week
Key Responsibilities:
* Use diagnostic equipment to identify faults in vehicle engines and components.
* Dismantle, rebuild, repair, or replace engines, mechanical parts, and systems.
* Perform regular servicing, including changing lubricants (oil), coolants (radiator fluids), and filters.
* Carry out preventative maintenance, such as brake replacement and system checks.
* Test drive vehicles following servicing to ensure proper functionality.
* Maintain accurate records of customer details, vehicles, parts used, and service history.
* Inspect key components and identify potential problem areas to prevent future issues.
* Assist the WOF inspector with brake and steering system inspections.
* Carry out other reasonable tasks as assigned by the Director.
Requirements:
* At least two years of relevant experience.
* Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
* Experience in diesel engine servicing and repair is preferred.
* Good communication and customer service skills.
