Job Description We have an exciting opportunity for a keen farm assistant that is looking to progress up to 2IC roll on our farm in the Tararua district. We are a small operation with the equity manager running the farm with assistance from a full time staff member (this vacancy) and a relief milker/calf rearer. We are enthusiastic about the job and training staff. For a highly motivated farm assistant, this is the opportunity to learn to manage a farm to progress in your career! We expect that this roll will evolve into a 2IC position with training. We are willing to supply Primary ITO courses for the right candidate. We are situated below the Tararua ranges between Pahiatua and Palmerston north, so you must not mind the rain! The bonus is that we don't require irrigation. We milk 350 cows once a day through a 40 aside herringbone shed with automatic cup removers. We offer a competitive salary, good work/life balance and a good 4 bdrm family home.
