The Homestead Villa Motel invites applicants to apply for this exciting opportunity to join our front office team.As part of the high performing community owned organisation of the Invercargill Licensing Trust (ILT), we are a busy 4½ star, 35 room complex and a proud leader in the accommodation sector in Invercargill, delivering exceptional services and facilities to a wide and diverse clientele base.We are looking for a Part Time Receptionist to join our Front Office Team who has a passion to keep our guest experiences at the highest value, is well organised, and processes good use of initiative and problem-solving skills.This position requires:Excellent computer literacy and communication skills both verbal and written.Ability to ensure effective reception operations maintaining quality customer service to the highest standard with competence to ensure all guest interactions create a positive and professional standing and positioning of the motel.Team networking and abilities to effectively liaise with our management team and departments to maintain the efficient operations within the motel.Functional to the day to day running of the reception and administrative duties.Duties include:Reservations for accommodation bookings and maintaining efficient reservation management.
Booking sales and upselling.Undertaking efficient and professional telephone, direct and written communications.Guest Check-In and Check-out procedures.Daily accounting procedures, banking, debtors, float and cashier balancing.Group booking procedures.General office and reception clerical tasks.Looking after and responding to guests' requirements and problem-solving issues.Multi-tasking in general requirements pertaining to the successful operations of the business, guest experience and team operations.Skills & Experience:To provide outstanding customer service.Ability to work autonomously, a multi-tasker with good problem-solving skills.Available to work both evening shifts from 2pm to 9pm and morning shifts 7am to 2pm.Available to work both week and weekend shifts.Reliable and trustworthy with a positive attitude.A team player with a great work ethic.Applicants should have NZ residency or hold a valid NZ work permit.
