We are looking for a self-motivated professional with proven management and leadership skills in communication, customer service and staff supervision.
In this position you will be responsible for organising and making decisions on the day to day operations of the Motel independently, ensuring the motel accommodation units are run at maximum occupancy and maintained to high standard.
Key tasks of the role include :
Oversee the running of the Motel; monitor and maintain lodging facilities.
Manage and maintain the administration of all reservations and cancellations
Assign duties to reception and housekeeping staff, observe and monitor staff activities;
Set rosters and maintain time records, and resolve staff grievances.
Oversee day-to-day banking, ensure that all monies are correct and balanced at the end of every day.
Maintain records of financial transactions.
Select and liaise with the suppliers for purchasing and negotiate as required
Analyse motel sales levels in planning and implementing changes and improvements.
Plan and implement effective marketing strategies to maximise room occupancy levels
Keep up to date with current promotions and pricing, to provide information to guests on request, while maximising sales opportunities.
Deal with escalated customer?s complaints and concerns, resolve it in an amicable way
Monitor and maintain Stock Levels (mainly laundry, cleaning materials, repair, trash and room supplies),
Be responsible for security, safety and evacuation. To be successful in this role you must have:
Relevant tertiary qualification in business or Hospitality or Hospitality Management.Alternatively have a minimum of 3-year managerial experience in the accommodation sectorExceptional communication skill ? both written and verbalProficient in Computer skillsAvailability to work in the weekends
