If you have a strong background in lending and are looking for an opportunity to grow your career, with the added benefit of a flexible work environment, then this will be the perfect role in an established leading Christchurch mortgage adviser team.We are looking for an experienced lending manager to work with our small vibrant team of 5, that focuses on high-quality advice for homeowners and investors.We work from modern offices in the city and have a unique boutique mortgage advice practice that has been established since 2008.
We work closely with one of Canterbury's top property legal teams and have a fully branded practice with excellent training and support opportunities to help your career grow.This role will suit someone who has banking, mortgage advice, or specialist non-bank lender experience.
This role is an integral part of the business and will report directly to our two directors and our senior advisor.The main focus of the role is to support our advisers and enable them to deliver great service for their clients by leveraging your excellent lender relationships, policy knowledge, and written and verbal communication skills.Every day will be busy and varied, the range of duties and responsibilities will incorporate:Assisting and supporting the advisers; being their right-hand personPre-screening loan applications including verification of various client documentsAssessing mortgage applications within credit guidelinesPreparing and submitting loan applicationsMonitoring the 'fixed rate' rolloversNegotiating interest ratesWriting clear and concise diary notesMaintaining a high attention to detail, ensuring all compliance requirements are metLiaising with lenders, clients, and related parties through the underwriting process through to settlement stageManaging CRM maintenance of client recordsThis opportunity will suit someone who is extremely organised, methodical, has a strong ability to interpret financial accounts, with a passion for numbers, analytical, applies extreme attention to detail, and has strong written and verbal skills.
