My client is one of Auckland\'s most renowned engineering companies. They invest not only in the business itself, but more importantly, their people!About the role:Ensure adequate drawings/details are provided and review these with Fabrication Co-ordinator or Leading hand
Follow bill of materials, checking that materials are available.
Ensure correct parts are supplied, checking for material type, quantity, thickness, size, finish, etc.
Ensure machine settings are correct and machine has appropriate tools/fittings.
Look after own equipment, hand tools and machines used.
Work effectively with other members of Staff to provide assistance and back-up when required during busy periods or absences in the manufacturing area.
Report any problems encountered or discrepancies to the Fabrication Co-ordinator(s) and or Leading Hands.
Understand the QA procedures and check/inspection points for each job and ensure proper QA inspections undertaken until fabrication completed.
Machine settings and operating practices ensure waste is minimized and any waste generated is correctly disposed of.
Ensure the final inspection is done by appropriate personnel - before forwarding to the polish shop or machine shop.
Maintain 5S standards in your work area.
Carry out TPM for equipment as instructed.
Be proactive in raising and participating in continuous improvement activities.
About you:You will have excellent MIG, TIG and Mild Steel (Stainless Steel) welding skills and have the ability to read and interpret drawings
You are punctual and work the hours and times specified.
You have the ability to prioritise workload and complete your work to a high standard.
You are a team player who supports your colleagues and helps to maintain a positive workplace culture.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Have a positive attitude and attention to detail and be reliable and honest.
Benefits:A generous hourly wage is on offer based on your work experience and qualifications. The usual hours of work are 40 hours over Monday to Sunday. OT above 40 hours is paid at time and a half.
