About the role

This role is for a Clinician as you will be taking the clinical lead in supporting tangata whaiora towards their recovery and implementing clinical best practise processes, whilst also coaching and mentoring support staff to achieve great health outcomes for our tangata whaiora based in a 10 bed residential facility. Work in partnership with tangata whaiora who are living in the presence of mental illness so that they set challenging goals and have a plan to achieve their goals as well as coaching Support Workers to complete tangata whaiora pathways and other key documentation.

This service is a home away from home, and enjoy working with our tangata whaiora in the service to ensure they feel at home, are sage and on their pathway to becoming well and maintaining their wellness. Our team enjoy a laugh as they work and you will enjoy working as part of the team.
This is a permanent 40 hour per week role that is Monday-Friday between 7.00am-7.00pm with flexibility to work outside these hours.

What you need;

Registration with a Professional Body covered by CHPA 2003 Act or Social Worker Registration Act 2003
Ideally Experience working in Mental Health and/or Addictions or the Disability sector
Proven experience of working effectively with individuals and family whanau in a complex needs environment
Tertiary level qualification in a relevant discipline e.g. nursing, social work, occupational therapy
Current full APC
Ideally the ability to korero/ understand Te Reo Maori
Demonstrate the ability to link and work with whanau, hapu and iwi
Ability to work with and without direct supervision
Excellent English written and verbal communications skills
Full New Zealand driver's licence
Knowledge of community resources and support networks
Competency in profession specific assessment and interventions
