About you / About the role
You will be working across the Mental Health and Intellectual Disability inpatient wards by supporting the provision of care in a range of areas. We seek an enthusiastic Mental Health Assistant to join our team on a casual “as and when required basis”.
Our Mental Health Assistants are key team members who assist our nursing and allied health staff to ensure an effective and efficient service. As an Assistant working in mental health, you’ll need to have a positive attitude and good communication skills, be able to take direction and work well as part of the team.
We need Mental Health Assistants to support inpatient staff, working predominately night shifts but maybe required to work other shifts from time to time.
Applicants should also note that a full driver licence is a requirement for this position.
Our ideal applicant will be confident in providing support and assisting patients; display initiative; be patient focussed at all times; be able to adapt to a changing environment and have computer literacy.
