Human Connections Group has partnered exclusively with the Otago Southland Employers’ Association (OSEA) for the appointment of a new Member Services Manager, based in Dunedin or Invercargill.
The Organisation:
OSEA is a not-for-profit membership-based organisation, who has an active role in building individual business capability to help and support their members to succeed. They provide professional services including employment law, human resources, health and safety expertise, and professional development training. In addition, they provide a range of specialist information, all of which are designed to help businesses to build on their own organisational success.
OSEA are the regional representative for BusinessNZ which ensures a voice for Otago and Southland businesses at a national level, helping to shape policy.
The Role:
The positions main focus is to provide leadership to the team in the services provided to members including, but not limited to, training, events and health & safety. This does not mean the person fulfilling this role needs to be an expert in these areas – the role is about leadership, organisation and managing the service offerings.
The offerings by the OSEA are there to assist their members, and non-members, to achieve optimal outcomes for their businesses by up-skilling or increasing their education in a variety of areas which have direct impact to the business goals and objectives.
The role is accountable for delivery in three key areas; training and events, health & safety training and advice, and general management of the team’s deliverables.
It’s a full-time position, Monday to Friday and may involve travel across the region.
The Person:
The person we are looking for will have at least five years demonstrable experience in leadership with a strong understanding of business and how businesses work in todays world.
Ideally this person will have had exposure to a service industry where relationships are crucial to success; with excellent personal communication skills and the ability to manage financial accounting and budgets. A relevant tertiary qualification is desired, as are the core attributes of integrity and professionalism.
The ability to work autonomously is key, with a collaborative and inclusive leadership style. Someone who thrives on delivering results through teamwork and building a cohesive and efficient team environment. Ideally you will have experience of managing people in remote locations previously.
You’ll have a true and genuine passion for business, with a solutions approach to everything that you tackle and pride yourself on your ability to build strong and long-lasting relationships.
And finally, you will be technologically savvy with good computer skills and analytical thinking.
