Medical Typist

Experienced dictaphone typist with knowledge of medical terminology - full time role.
Location: Hutt Hospital
Contract: Full time permanent - Monday to Friday.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Medical Typing Team transcribes approximately 300 hours of medical dictation each month across our district health board. We are required to turn the typing around in an accurate and timely manner, this requires team work and a "can do attitude". We are looking for someone who adopts a team approach and willingly assists others in times of high workload, absences or the need to urgently prioritise work.
We are looking for an experienced Dictaphone typist to fill a fulltime vacancy. Knowledge of medical terminology would be an advantage.
You need to be motivated and capable of delivering a high volume of quality work on a daily basis, to do this you will need, a high level of English literacy as well as excellent listening skills for this role.
You will understand patient privacy and the importance of keeping information secure.
