This role offers the chance to broaden your skill set in a supportive environment that encourages ongoing development, including opportunities to engage in Preliminary Image Evaluation (PIE).Looking ahead, our department is preparing to move into a brand-new facility set to open in 2025, equipped with state-of-the-art imaging technologies, including general x-ray, CT, ultrasound, and MRI.With additional satellite sites in Hawera, Stratford, and Waitara, you'll be joining a dynamic team of around 60 staff members, supported by nine experienced Radiologists.About the ServiceHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora Taranaki employs approximately 350 allied health professionals across its services, and we're growing our inpatient physical health rehabilitation team by 60%.
You will be joining a friendly team that is diverse in skills and experience, a team that welcomes collaboration and values the contribution of each team member.
Our team provides rehabilitation care across acute and non-acute inpatient wards as part of Allied Health, and we're happy to support other teams to ensure their success.About youTo be successful in this role, you will be an NZ-registered Medical Imaging Technologist and have a current APC, as well as:Previous experience working as a Medical Imaging Technologist.Excellent technical skills and knowledge.Well-developed communication and critical thinking skills and a commitment to family-centred care.Capable of working independently and within a small team.A strong commitment to quality healthcare.Versatile and able to adapt to a constantly changing environment.Able to work well within a close team and willing to take part in training students.Previous experience with emergency work and IV cannulation is desirable but not essential.How to ApplyTo apply, please click "apply now."
