Medical Imaging Technologist - General

Taranaki Base Hospital, New Plymouth
0.5 FTE (40 hours per fortnight)
Permanent Position - rostered and rotating
This position is in our general department with participation on our on call roster (includes weekends/shifts/call). You must be capable of working in a solo capacity and have the confidence to interact with a range of medical staff afterhours with the ability to make sound clinical decisions at all times.
We are looking for an applicant who is flexible, a good team player, and with a positive personality. You must be able to handle pressure and make sound decisions in difficult situations. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills are important.

We offer CT training for all of our general staff should they wish. If you join us, you have the ability to widen your skill base in a supportive team environment.
Our New Plymouth department includes 3 general x-ray rooms, angio/interventional suite (2016), nuclear medicine, CT, ultrasound, MRI. We have 3 satellite sites; Hawera, Stratford, Waitara.
You will join a staff of around 70. You will be supported by a team of nine Radiologists.
