Role Purpose
Operating in the quality-focused environment of our Whareroa site, this is a great opportunity to join our close knit maintenance team as a Mechanical Technician and ensure our site performs at its peak each day.
In this high impact role you’ll be a key member of our Maintenance Team, responsible for mechanical maintenance services across the site. With safety, quality and plant stability in mind, you’ll use your solid problem solving skills to fault find and repair breakdowns with confidence. Focusing on preventative maintenance on our automated, high speed manufacturing and utilities equipment across the site, you’ll be challenged to manage plant availability and contribute to long term practical solutions.
This role operates on a Monday to Friday day shift schedule & on call basis.
What you’ll bring and develop:
To succeed in this role you’ll need the ability to think on your feet and manage changing prioritise as they arise. As a strong communicator and problem solver you’ll be confident to follow instructions, and your positive people skills will ensure fit well within our down to earth team. Other key skills and experience include:
Trade cert in Mechanical Engineering (L4 or higher)
Proven experience working with high speed manufacturing machinery – ideally from within the food industry
Experience with CMMS systems (SAP preferred)
