YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
This role is based within our Trentham based Special Projects and Engineering team work on unique or individualised project for our primary customers include NZ Police, and Fire and Emergency along with other government and private sectors businesses.
This is a hands on role where you will provide general welding, machining, fabrication and engineering services on a diverse range of plant and equipment. You will be a motivated, self- starter as you will be actively managing your own work flow, order parts/materials in advance and plan work to maximise efficiency.
ABOUT YOU:
To be successful in this role the skills and abilities required include (but are not limited to) the following:
• Relevant trade qualification
• Minimum 5 years trade experience years working in fabrication, equipment, vehicle or similar role
• Sound knowledge and understanding of technical terminology
• An ability to read and interpret technical documentation and drawings
• Up to date with current industry regulations

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
To be eligible to work for Lockheed Martin NZ you must be able to obtain and maintain a Confidential Government Security Clearance. See minimum criteria below:
• most preferably a NZ citizen, who has resided in this country continuously for at least the last five years, OR
• Citizen of, and/or has resided continuously in one or more of the following countries for the last ten years: either Australia, Canada, NZ, the United Kingdom (UK) or the United States of America (USA); and has a background history that is verifiable and can be assessed as appropriate by the NZ Security Intelligence Service (NZSIS)
If you do not meet these minimum criteria, we will not be able to accept your application.
You will also be required to undergo pre-employment activities including drug screening and vetting by NZ Police.
