Your contributions will directly impact the future of our manufacturing processes and product offerings.Your Role:Prepare Winely for its growth phase, ensuring key milestones are met.Work transparently to align and prioritize goals with leadership peers across various departments.Bring enthusiasm, excellent communication skills, and a systems-driven approach.Enjoy both strategic problem-solving and hands-on tasks.Work Environment:Flexible hours with a requirement to sync with the team during parts of the day.Dunedin-based workKey Responsibilities:Collaborate closely with the Head of Engineering and the R&D team to shape the product and technology development roadmap, focusing on assembly and prototyping innovations.Design, develop, and refine mechanical components and systems, leveraging CAD tools and 3D printing technologies for rapid prototyping.Lead and mentor a team of engineers in best practices for mechanical design, assembly techniques, and prototype development.Oversee the mechanical engineering processes, including design reviews, prototyping meetings, and milestone achievements, ensuring alignment with the overall project timelines and goals.Monitor and report on the progress of mechanical engineering projects, identifying future resource requirements and potential areas for improvement.Champion continuous improvement in mechanical engineering practices, encouraging innovation and efficiency in prototyping and assembly processes.Ensure that all mechanical engineering projects align with measurable, outcome-oriented goals, focusing on functionality, reliability, and manufacturability.Qualifications and Skills:Proven experience in mechanical engineering roles, particularly in environments focused on product development and rapid prototyping.Proficiency in CAD software, 3D printing technologies, and other tools essential for mechanical design and prototyping.Familiarity with materials science and manufacturing processes, including CNC machining, injection molding, and assembly techniques.Strong project management capabilities and experience leading engineering teams through complex R&D projects.Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and push the boundaries of traditional mechanical engineering solutions.Effective communication skills, capable of conveying complex engineering concepts to non-technical stakeholders.A hands-on, inquisitive mindset, always eager to learn and apply new technologies and methodologies in mechanical engineering.Background in physics, materials science, or related fields is highly valuable.Passion for innovation, with a particular interest in developing new products and technologies through R&D and prototyping efforts.Job Types: Full-time, Part-timeSalary: $21.44 – $49.68 per hourExpected hours: 40 per weekBenefits:Employee mentoring programEmployee stock purchase planProfessional development assistanceVisa sponsorshipSupplemental pay types:BonusEducation:Masters Degree (Preferred)Expected Start Date: 01/05/2024#J-18808-Ljbffr
