Details of the offer

Description

As the longest-running agriculturally-based university in the Southern Hemisphere, Lincoln University’s story begins with farming, but it certainly doesn’t end there. As New Zealand’s economy diversified, so have we. Lincoln University is here to enhance and enrich lives. To grow the knowledge of our students so they can shape a world that benefits from a greater understanding of the relationship between our land, the food produced from it and the ecosystems within it. With three academic faculties, one teaching division, several research centres and a range of corporate service units, the University draws its students from throughout New Zealand and from over 60 countries. Lincoln University has a student roll of around 3,000 and approximately 700 staff.
We have a rare opportunity available for a highly skilled and motivated Marketing Manager to play a key role in helping us tell our story to New Zealand’s future leaders. Responsible to the Director Student and Stakeholder Engagement, you will lead a team to spread the word on the benefits of a specialist university education and highlight how our personalised educative approach really does help people land where they want to be. Essential to your success will be your strong technical skills in advertising campaigns, digital media, website, storytelling, design knowledge and brand management.
You will be responsible for developing and implementing the marketing strategies and plans, developing and implementing student recruitment campaigns, and managing a team that includes in-house graphic design, storytellers, and events and sponsorship. In addition you will manage key external relationships including creative agencies, media buyer, and various contractors, and will work closely with a range of internal stakeholders.
To be successful in this role you will have:
Proven experience as a successful leader who is able to drive and motivate a team to achieve
Highly developed communication skills, including the ability to relate to people from diverse backgrounds
Proven experience in developing and maintaining relationships
A high degree of drive and initiative, along with a real commitment to seeing this University achieve its full potential
Proven, demonstrable ability to develop and maintain networks with a wide range of stakeholders
A relevant tertiary qualification in business management, development, marketing or communications
In return we can offer you the opportunity to work in a collaborative team environment on a beautiful campus, competitive salary, free parking and 5 weeks annual leave.

This is a fulltime, permanent position.

To apply: yes, we still need a CV and cover letter from you through our online application system, but we also want to see how else you will engage with us. We’re all over social media – are you? Respect our brand but attract our attention. We look forward to being impressed by your skills.
