Part-time, flexible, work from home role in Wellington, Drive forward new dynamic member base to grow a progressive national body, Varied, exciting role working with interesting people.The Urban Development Institute of New Zealand (UDINZ) is a newly formed non-profit membership organization whose mission is to be the champion for great urban design and development, providing a platform for collaboration in order to achieve resilient, affordable, healthy and sustainable communities for all New Zealanders.
UDINZ is an open and inclusive national body that works from the grassroots through to Government. UDINZ members are a cross-section of people involved in building New Zealand communities, from developers to contractors, designers, planners, architects and engineers, through to materials suppliers, research agencies, financiers, real estate agencies, lawyers, accountants, councils and central Government.
UDINZ currently has a Chair and Chief Executive supported by a board of trustees and a membership base of some 70 members. The Chair and Chief Executive are based in Wellington, and this role reports to the Chief Executive.
We are looking to expand our membership and add value to our members through an annual calendar of activity, thought leadership and PR, events, advocacy at Government level, professional development, data-driven market insights, international best practice in urban development and enabling the industry to collaborate to get to better urban development outcomes. Eventually as UDINZ grows, the organisation will likely host awards and conferences.
The Marketing and Administration Coordinator will be the Chief Executive?s right hand person to manage our membership database, website, ecommerce and member portal, member levies, events management, PR and social media management, and marketing coordination. It is a rounded, holistic role that will help the start-up organization build robust systems for member and marketing management.
We are looking for someone with experience in marketing, events, administration and ideally some digital and social marketing and ecommerce knowledge.
You will have a can-do positive attitude, and be able to turn your hand to many things, drawing on previous work experiences. You will be highly collaborative, systematic, and a great communicator with strong attention to detail and the ability to follow through. You will be responsive, tech-savvy and able to deploy new technologies to get to better faster and cheaper, and able to deliver a great customer experience for members.
You will report and work closely with the Chief Executive, as well as the Chair and board members, and UDINZ members.
This role is flexible, up to 20 hours a week, with variability based on demand at any one time, and will primarily be work from home. A detailed Job Description is below.
