Port Marlborough is a forward-thinking port and marina business operating in Picton, Waikawa, Havelock and the wider Marlborough Sounds. They have an opportunity for a Marina Services Manager Permanent Reliever to join their team and provide additional cover across the marina business unit for annual leave and other requirements where role coverage is needed.
As an integral part of the Marina Services team the focus of this role will be to work collaboratively across the organisation to provide adaptable, responsive customer service and operational support to all marina users. With a guarantee of 64 hours per fortnight in the winter and 72 hours in the summer this role offers flexibility, challenge and variety in location, focus and scope.
Key responsibilities will include interacting with boat owners, responding to customer queries and providing practical assistance to marina users. As part of your day to day role you’ll engage positively and constructively with marina users to ensure that they understand and comply with marina regulations. With a willingness to pick up extra tasks and responsibilities there will also be the opportunity to maximise your contribution through additional projects as required.
Experience in the boating or marine sector would be helpful but most importantly you’ll bring loads of energy, initiative, flexibility and an open and engaging communication style. There is an administration component to this role so a good level of literacy and computer skills is essential as well as a strong understanding of the importance of health and safety and compliance.
