Manufacturing Engineer
This position reports to
Manufacturing Engineering Manager
Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide necessary maintenance activities to achieve the required level of quality, costs, and production capacity for active products. Each day, you will support active products through production. Over time, you will contribute to new product developments including assembling prototypes and testing new designs. This position will be based in Napier, New Zealand, and the work model for the role is onsite. Main stakeholders are R&D and Agile teams for technical input and SCM (Supply Chain Management) and Production teams. You will be mainly accountable for:

Developing and managing engineering changes in active products
Monitoring product/assembly cost and developing projects for cost savings
Managing technical documents for production (3D, Schematics, BOM, Assembly Procedure)
Establishing project specification for production
Converting R&D developments into products for market and readying these for mass production
Supporting production lines, involving problem-solving analysis and investigating together with Quality/Process teams
Maintaining assembly and packaging instructions

Qualifications for the role

You enjoy working with 3D modelling tools like Solidworks, Electrical schematic capture tools like Autocad, and ERP systems like SAP
You have more than 2 years of experience in managing multiple (change) projects
Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
You are at ease communicating in English
