About the role
The primary purpose of the Manufacturing Engineer – “Special Projects” is to facilitate and optimize Production and Launch vehicle system tests for a high-growth Avionics production environment, ensuring Manufacturing Principles are practised to meet stringent launch times. This position will work closely and develop strong relationships with a variety of different Engineers, Technicians, and subject matter experts across a range of departments to enable the testing and operations of launch vehicles. Regular activities of the Manufacturing Engineer include the implementation of large-scale capital expenditure projects, practicing Manufacturing best practices and developing and optimizing current processes for Production.
Essential skills
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or related
5+ years’ experience as a Manufacturing / Production / Process Engineer ideally for electromechanical systems
Hands-on technical experience debugging complex systems within a Manufacturing environment
Strong communicator, with proven ability to deliver KPI’s with little to no supervision on schedule as an individual or as a member of an integrated team
Can-do approach and flexibility to thrive around growing teams and processes
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Implementation of large-scale capital expenditure
