We are looking for a Manager to join our expanding Sale & Purchase Agreement Advisory (SPA) team that works collaboratively with our Oceania Transaction Diligence practice.
The SPA team has in-depth expertise from working with clients on more than 400 deals, creating contractual solutions to financial and commercial issues during deal negotiations.
As part of our SPA team, you will work with many of the world's largest organisations, fastest-growing companies, and private equity firms on complex deals in both the Oceania and global markets.
Together we will assist clients navigating the transaction process by providing value-adding SPA support, financial insight, and analysis leading up to the determination of the final purchase price for their deals.
On a typical day, you will Manage and participate in SPA advisory engagement execution for the acquisition or disposal of businesses by private equity investors or strategic corporate clients.Work closely with clients, their bankers, and legal advisers, including analysis of cash, debt, and working capital adjustments.Advise clients on the advantages, risks, and suitable purchase price mechanisms for their transactions.Analyse financial results of targets through reviewing diligence findings and conducting interviews with target management.Support negotiations with clients throughout the transaction.Build valued relationships with internal contacts and external clients to expand your portfolio of projects.Collaborate with other EY service teams to deliver an integrated approach to our clients.O Pumanawa I What we're looking for Experience in a Transaction Diligence role or mergers and acquisitions environment.Ability to develop and manage relationships with multiple clients and teams.A bachelor or master degree in accounting, business, finance or economics.Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, CAANZ or international equivalent.At least 5 years' experience in a professional services or chartered accounting environment.A keen interest in understanding businesses, transactions, and deal value drivers.Passion for client service excellence and attention to detail.Kuhu mai ki a EY I Come, be a part of EY Explore how a career at EY is yours to build at www.ey.com/nz/careerdevelopment.
