The propertyfunction within the Council is undergoing positive change to enhance the wayproperty assets are managed and maintained, with asset management, propertymanagement, and acquisition and disposal now managed within the one team. This new model will enable more proactivestrategy development, greater operational efficiencies and an improved customerexperience through end to end management of the property portfolio.
This is anexciting leadership opportunity where you can make a huge impact. We’re looking for an energetic manager tosupport and develop the team, refresh processes and ways of working and providestrategic and technical property expertise, especially in asset management, tomaximise the benefits of the change and deliver strong outcomes for the Counciland the community.
To be successful in this role you will have extensiveexperience in both asset management and property management across thelifecycle, with particular strengths in built assets. Ideally, you’ll have experience in localgovernment and understand the political nuance. You’ll be an excellent people leader with proven experience developinghappy and high-performing teams. Collaborating and influencing in style, you’ll be able to demonstratestrong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage diverse and complexstakeholder relationships.
Essential willbe a tertiary qualification in a related property field (property management,valuation, commerce, etc) and sound knowledge of relevant legislation (PublicWorks Act, Reserves Act, LG Act, Property Law Act).
