Ko ta matou mahi - Our Role
Our high performing Strategy and Investment team is growing, and as such we are now looking to welcome aManager - Portfolio Management Practiceto establish and lead a team focused on portfolio management practices across Kainga Ora's four investment portfolios. This is a newly created position and can be based in Auckland or Wellington.
As Manager - Portfolio Management Practice you will:
Lead portfolio management practices within the Investment Management Office and wider organisation
Ensure prioritisation, balancing and quality investment decision are made and that programme delivery aligns with Kainga Ora's strategy and outcomes
Lead Kainga Ora's benefits management practice
Provide quality advice to portfolio governance bodies to support their decision making, including decisions relating to prioritisation, balancing, sequencing, risk, resource, stakeholder and benefits management
Maintain and continuously improve the policies, processes, guidelines and procedures that make up Kainga Ora's Investment Management Framework
Lead the Investment Management Office's components of annual planning, forecasting and budgeting processes
Lead the Investment Management Office's input to the strategic planning process.
Nga pumanawatanga ou - What you will bring
In adding to your relevant tertiary qualification you will also demonstrate:
Significant experience in portfolio management, ideally (but not necessarily) with some of that experience being within a capital intensive context
Management of Portfolios Practitioner status (advantageous)
Demonstrated stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and lead a practice across multiple teams in a large organisation
Interest in public sector structure, governance, processes and systems
Experience navigating and operating in a regulated environment, experience working constructively across functions and track record of building and maintaining the trust of all stakeholders
Understanding of partnership obligations under the Treaty of Waitangi
A positive, proactive and collaborative approach.
