We are looking for an experienced leader who is comfortable leading and developing a team in a regulatory environment. Reporting to the Head of Policy and Governance, you will be strong on performance development, responsible for leading a team of solicitors and advisers in a way that challenges, empowers and engages them so they can achieve their full potential, and in turn help the FMA achieve its objectives.The Policy team delivers consistent and effective commercial legal/policy advice and expertise to ensure our development and application of regulatory policy reinforces our regulatory strategy and reputation as an agile, effective, proactive and respected organisation.Tertiary qualified, you'll have a minimum of 8 years' experience gained in a law firm, public sector and/or corporate environment along with a proven ability to interact with stakeholders both within the FMA and in the financial services or public sector environment. Your ability to coach and develop with a collegial, constructive contribution to the overall management of the Policy team will allow you to truly excel in this role.The work we're involved in is as challenging as it is interesting.
