We are delighted to be partnering with The Ministry for Pacific Peoples (MPP), the Crown's principal advisor on policies and interventions that impact on better outcomes for Pacific Peoples in New Zealand.
We have an exciting permanent opportunity for someone to be their new Manager, People and Culture. This role will have you lead the delivery of HR services and organisation development initiatives to ensure MPP are well placed to deliver now and for the future. This is a key position that will partner with People Leaders and the wider organisation, promoting and fostering an employee experience that matters.
You will work closely with the General Manager, People and Culture to support her strategic leadership in navigating for the future. Leading a small team will give you capacity to drive innovation and continuous improvements for MPP.
This role will play an integral part in continuing to see government working together with communities to better support the needs of Pacific peoples.
To be successful in this position you will ideally have:
Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Management or a related field
A minimum of 5+ years in a HR management position or senior HR Business Partner role
Proven experience supporting senior management and organisations that have a strong values based focus on culture and growth
Proven skills in delivering generalist HR advice, policies and legislation, to effectively coach and support to people managers Superior communication skills, both written and verbal, including informing and influencing others
Experience in successfully developing, coaching and leading people
Strong inter-personal skills, ability to build and maintain relationship with a range of stakeholders, including understanding different stakeholder's motivations, and the ability to influence and persuade
