About the role
The Planning Manager Australia Pacific Asia (APA) is responsible to drive operational excellence leading to a harm-free supply chain, reliable supply, and industry benchmark across the region.
What you will be doing
Based out of our headquarters in Melbourne, this role supports the delivery of business management and supply chain strategy across APA, including supply and demand planning, S&OP, inventory management and managing the distribution channel. As a Planning Manager, you are accountable for delivering the right product at the right place and time and possess the flexibility to efficiently respond to changes in demand, at the same time, fully complying with Oricas safety standards.
This role will deliver financial and operational outcomes in line with APA plans, ensuring operational compliance to Group Supply Chain standards and systems, and identify and execute innovative supply chain opportunities to achieve customer delivery commitments. You will work closely with your team to ensure reduction in inventory and optimising the supply network for key product groups, with the goal of reducing manufacturing / sourcing cost.
What you will bring
Tertiary qualifications in Supply Chain, Business or related discipline
Minimum 15 years of experience in Supply Chain Planning, leadership experience essential
Experience in SAP
Experience working with a with a multi-cultural and geographically dispersed team
Strong analytical skills with broad knowledge of planning processes (S&OP, DRP etc) and business fundamentals
Understanding of the mining business will be an advantage
Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to communicate to all levels of the business
