Details of the offer

Te Puni Kokiri (Ministry of Maori Development) is a government agency that works within government and communities to achieve our vision of Thriving Whanau.
The wellbeing of whanau, hapu and iwi is central to the future wellbeing of Aotearoa (New Zealand). The very broad role of Te Puni Kokiri, our access to information and ability to make connections, make us ideally placed to spark and support innovation.
As the Manager, Maori Enterprise, you will provide leadership and manage a team of 6 advisors and 6 senior advisors based across the 6 Te Puni Kokiri regional directorates. These advisors engage with whanau to understand revenue generation activities and options, influence economic policy work programmes in other agencies to focus on Maori business opportunities, and invest in whanau enterprise through microfinance and social procurement.
You will contribute to the delivery of outcomes and to enhance the Ministry's reputation with Maori, the Public Sector and Government by providing leadership and building capability in the management of Maori enterprise support functions and investments. In this way, you will assist Te Puni Kokiri to step into a strategic leadership role across the Public Sector and ensure that outcomes for Maori across other agencies are equitable and Maori are enabled to fulfil their aspirations and realise their own potential.
In return you will enjoy the benefits of working in a supportive environment, with opportunity for career progression in an organisation which plays a key role in 'Whanau Taurikura' - 'Thriving Whanau'.
