This pivotal role is based in our modern offices in Wellington.About the role:As the Manager Bus, Ferry & Te Hunga Whaikaha Total Mobility Operations you will lead a team and be responsible for overseeing operations contract management, coordinating passenger operations, and driving performance management across our bus, ferry, and Total Mobility services.Your Key Responsibilities:Leadership: Inspire and manage a high-performing team, translating strategic plans into actionable goals and supporting staff through coaching and development.Service Delivery: Oversee contract management, monitor KPIs and financial incentives, drive process improvements, and ensure seamless integration of operations with maintenance and network access.Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong partnerships with operators, community partners, and key stakeholders, representing Metlink and Greater Wellington with professionalism.Resource Management: Prudently manage people, finances, and contracts, ensuring efficient use of resources and compliance with organisational policies.Continuous Improvement: Champion sustainable resource management and contribute to operational planning for events and procurement processes.Health & Safety: Foster a culture of safety and wellbeing, ensuring adherence to all relevant policies and procedures.Skills and experience required:You are an experienced leader with a passion for public service and a proven ability to manage complex operations.
