Auckland City, AucklandFull-time, PermanentJoin a high-performing, collaborative and supportive teamUtilise and develop your skill set with the opportunity for development and growthWork on exciting and diverse client portfoliosWe are looking for an experienced Manager / Associate Director to come join our Auckland restructuring services team!What will your typical day look like?In this role, you will be working on a diverse range of engagements across all sectors, with client situations ranging from healthy corporates seeking advice in relation to their debt financing options through to those experiencing varying degrees of financial distress.You will be advising lenders, boards and management teams of companies in relation to their debt financing issues as well as leading project team and supporting Partners and Directors in client-facing delivery. The nature of work in the Restructuring team typically involves:Supporting management teams in preparing and challenging business plans, short term cash flow forecasts and restructuring plans;Developing, analysing and presenting restructuring and debt financing options;Supporting the execution of preferred options, e.g. turnarounds, recapitalisations, disposals and other exit options, and refinancings;Managing small teams and creating effective delegation and development opportunities for team members;Understanding and actively managing the Firm’s risk from take-on through to completion of engagements;Actively supporting business development activities using your own network as well as supporting partner and director-led marketing and sales activities; andIdentifying opportunities to expand existing roles as well as opportunities to provide wider Deloitte services to existing clients.About the teamThe Restructuring team sits alongside our wider Corporate Finance and Recovery teams, collectively comprising a group of highly experienced professionals focussed on all stages of the corporate lifecycle.Enough about us, let’s talk about youYou will be an engaging corporate professional who is confident in providing commercial, practical assistance to both clients and colleagues. You will have developed your skills through experience and demonstrate a genuine interest in, and stay up-date with, industry activities, marketplace trends and leading practices.You are someone with:A relevant University qualification in accounting, finance, or economics and ideally you will be CA or CFA qualified;At least five years’ experience within a Restructuring or Corporate Finance environment;Engaging communication skills, including verbal and written, and an ability to build client and internal relationships;Strong financial and analytical skills including experience in financial modelling;Experience with data visualisation tools (i.e. Tableau, Power BI) is advantageous;A basic understanding of insolvency legislation and practice is not a prerequisite but helpful;Project management skills as often you will be managing a number of competing client priorities simultaneously; andAbility to mentor junior team members and work collaborate as part of the wider team on client engagements.Next StepsSound like the sort of role for you?
