Founded in 1905 as the Straits Settlements and Federated Malay States Government Medical School, NUS is the oldest higher education institution in Singapore.Job DescriptionThe incumbent will drive and support the formulation of strategy and execute the University's development marketing and communications efforts, especially for the NUS Capital Campaign.The incumbent must be a results-driven Digital Marketing Specialist who can drive our digital marketing efforts across various online platforms.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing marketing campaigns that promote NUS' causes, enhance brand awareness for NUS Giving, and drive conversions via the NUS Giving website, mobile app, and social media platforms, with focus on LinkedIn.The incumbent must also be a strong writer and editor, who will be responsible for crafting compelling narratives in various formats to influence and shift audience mindsets, challenging existing perceptions and driving positive change through innovative communication strategies.The incumbent must be a strategic thinker who is required to execute multifaceted marketing and communications campaigns across a variety of channels (e.g.
print, presentations, video, visual and digital media, media relations, community relations, email and the Web) to promote a consistent, compelling brand and message of philanthropic giving to the University and maintain a positive public image for the organisation.The incumbent must exhibit a strong desire to serve the needs of a fast-paced, high-volume Marcomms operation with adaptability and resourcefulness.This person must have some experience in media/public issues management to help manage the brand's reputation and shape public opinion through curation of all public-facing communications.Duties & ResponsibilitiesEffectively support a multi-platform communications strategy and plan.Help to create a dynamic and fully integrated suite of communications materials including publications, websites, videos, brochures, content development across channels, social media, event communications, and gift acknowledgement letters, and executive speechwriting.Write/edit bespoke proposals and case for support to attract philanthropic funding to advance key causes at the University.Source for, develop and write stories to highlight the benefits of philanthropic giving to the University and its greater impact on the community.Develop and regularly report on a set of metrics for measuring the effectiveness of the department's marketing and communications programme.Stay abreast of continued advances in communications, marketing and web best practices and technologies that can meet institutional needs.Oversee the work of vendors and manage them in a fiscally responsible manner.QualificationsRequirementsGraduate from a recognised University with at least 5-8 years' experience in writing, editing, marketing and communications.Strong background in marketing and communications, with a proven track record of developing and implementing marketing and communication strategies to advance an organisation's strategic goals.Demonstrated ability to develop clear, targeted, and non-traditional branding and marketing strategies tailored for different audiences and channels.Outstanding communication and presentation skills, including superior skills in writing, translating complex concepts for a general audience, and a strong graphic and design sense.Excellent organisational and project management/leadership skills with high attention to detail, ability to multi-task and work under pressure with high levels of efficiency and accuracy.Proficient in all aspects of computer operation and software (i.e.
Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook etc.
