About the Company:Our client is a global company working across four regions and six countries providing tailored student accommodation.About the Role:Day to Day operational performance, ensuring business objectives are met, staff are engaged, students are satisfied and relationship is strong. The Manager will be responsible for overseeing the performance of the staff (with support from the General Manager as required) as in the organisation structure The Manager is responsible for managing the student accommodation and summer stays operation including all strategic, operational and financial aspects within the terms of the agreements.Key duties include but not limited to:Finance:Achieve or improve on budget each year with support from GM
Leadership:Provide clear leadership and direction to staff with support from GM
Operations:Provide leadership for all areas of the operations - Ensure that there are effective administrative systems to support the smooth running of the business and that these are consistent with processes, and comply with legislative and fiscal requirements
Asset Management and Performance:Ensure that an asset management plan is developed and implemented
Marketing:In conjunction with the Marketing Manager, prepare and implement a marketing plan covering both academic occupancy and the summer business with support from GM
Human Resources:Ensure staff are well managed, performance expectations are clear, and performance issues are dealt with promptly and effectively with support from GM
Business Planning:Develop and implement a 1 year business plan, with clear priorities and objectives In conjunction with the management team with support from GM
Compliance & Reporting:Ensure the properties provide accurate quarterly, monthly and annual reports with support from GM
Skills & Experience:Strong financial competency, with demonstrable skills to operate a financially viable business.
Computer literacy especially Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Articulate direction, goals, strategic planning and support others in achievement of these
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
Connect easily with people and build effective working relationships
Ability to adapt to changing conditions, processes and other developments
