It is a pro-equity health organisation, with particular focus on Maori and Pacific Peoples.
The DHB comprises of 16 clinical practice areas, organised into five groups.
There's two hospitals and a large mental health campus as well as a range of community-based services.
Location informationThis DHB covers a large area on the southern part of New Zealand's North Island.
