Flexibility to work across the country may be required to support various projects.The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for:Ensuring the general operation, servicing, and repair of plant and machinery, including site maintenance and operation.Performing diagnostic tests and root cause analysis to identify machinery or equipment issues.Disassembling machinery or equipment for repairs or part replacements.Testing machines or running initial batches to ensure proper operation.Assisting with the installation of new manufacturing equipment.Adjusting and calibrating equipment as per specifications.Conducting routine inspections and testing to minimize process disruptions.Diagnosing malfunctioning machinery to determine if major repairs are needed.Carrying out preventative maintenance to reduce unexpected issues.Responding to alerts and performing corrective actions following SOPs and protocols.Maintaining up-to-date documentation of checks and repairs.Keeping logs of system downtime.Potentially training production staff on routine maintenance procedures.Managing spare parts inventory, including ordering and replacements.Performing other duties as reasonably required.Skills and Experience:Preferably 1+ years of relevant experience or a relevant qualification, but candidates with minimal industrial experience and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.Friendly attitude, good time management, and strong work ethic.Reliable, hardworking, and committed to safety and learning.Pay Conditions: Min $26.69/hour to a max of $32/hourHours of Work: Minimum 30 hours guaranteedLocation: Occasional travel to Auckland, Northland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Hawke's Bay, Taranaki, Gisborne, Whanganui-Manawatu, Wellington, Marlborough, Nelson-Tasman, Canterbury, West Coast, Otago, and Southland may be required.This role is permanent and full-time.
