Maintenance Technicians Wanted In Taranaki

We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team at Extrastaff Limited.

Flexibility in work locations is preferred, as you may be asked to work across the country to assist with various projects.
Responsibilities:

Ensure the general running, servicing, and repair of plant and machinery; participate in site maintenance and operation.
Perform diagnostic tests and root cause analysis to identify machinery or equipment issues.
Disassemble machinery or equipment when problems occur, then repair or replace broken or malfunctioning parts.
Test machines or run initial batches to ensure proper operation.
Assist in installing new manufacturing equipment.
Adjust and calibrate equipment or machinery according to specifications.
Conduct routine inspections and testing of equipment and machinery, planned to minimize process disruptions.
Diagnose malfunctioning machinery to determine if major repairs are needed.
Perform preventative maintenance to minimize unexpected equipment issues.
Respond to alerts and carry out corrective procedures and repairs following SOPs and maintenance protocols.
Maintain up-to-date documentation of routine checks and repairs, in line with internal and external procedures.
Keep logs of downtime within the manufacturing system.
Potentially train production staff on routine maintenance procedures.
Manage spare parts inventory, including ordering and replacements as necessary.
Perform other tasks reasonably required by the employer.
Prioritize health and safety for yourself and all employees on site.
Skills and Experience:

Preferably 1+ years of relevant experience or relevant qualification; candidates with minimal industrial experience and willingness to learn are also encouraged to apply.
Good time management and work ethic.
Strong commitment to learning and industry development.
Knowledge of health and safety procedures.
Reliable and hardworking.
Additional Details:

Pay: $26.69 to $32 per hour.
Hours: Minimum 30 hours guaranteed per week.
Location: Occasional travel to various regions across New Zealand.
Employment type: Permanent, full-time.
