The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for:Ensuring the general running, servicing, and repair of plant and machinery, including site maintenance and operation.Performing diagnostic tests and root cause analysis to identify machinery or equipment issues.Disassembling machinery or equipment to repair or replace faulty parts.Testing machines and conducting initial runs to ensure proper operation.Assisting with the installation of new manufacturing equipment.Adjusting and calibrating equipment to meet specifications.Conducting routine inspections and testing to minimize process disruptions.Diagnosing malfunctioning machinery to determine if major repairs are needed.Performing preventative maintenance to reduce unexpected equipment issues.Responding to alerts and executing corrective actions following SOPs and maintenance protocols.Maintaining up-to-date documentation of checks and repairs.Keeping logs of system downtime.Potentially training production staff on routine maintenance procedures.Managing spare parts inventory, including ordering and replacements.Performing other tasks reasonably required by the employer.Skills and Experience: Preferably 1+ years relevant experience or qualification; willing to learn minimal industrial experience acceptable.
Friendly demeanor, good time management, excellent work ethic, reliability, and a commitment to safety are essential.
Knowledge of health and safety procedures is required.Pay Conditions: Min $26.69/hour to max $32/hourHours of Work: Minimum 30 hours guaranteedTravel: Occasional travel to various regions across New Zealand may be required.This is a permanent, full-time position.
