The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for:Ensuring the general running, servicing, and repair of plant and machinery, and participating in site maintenance and operation.Performing diagnostic tests and root cause analysis to identify machinery or equipment issues.Disassembling machinery or equipment to repair or replace broken or malfunctioning parts.Testing machines or running initial batches to ensure proper operation.Assisting in the installation of new manufacturing equipment.Adjusting and calibrating equipment as per specifications.Conducting routine inspections and testing of equipment to minimize process disruptions.Testing malfunctioning machinery to determine if major repairs are needed.Performing preventative maintenance to reduce unexpected equipment issues.Responding to alerts and carrying out corrective procedures according to SOPs and protocols.Maintaining up-to-date documentation of checks and repairs.Logging system downtime.Potentially training production staff on routine maintenance procedures.Managing spare parts inventory, ordering, and replacements as necessary.Performing any other tasks reasonably required by the employer.Skills and experience required:Preferably 1+ years relevant experience or a relevant qualification, but willing to consider minimal industrial experience candidates eager to learn.Friendly demeanor, good time management, and strong work ethic.Excellent time management skills.Commitment to learning and industry development.Sound knowledge of health and safety procedures.Reliable and hardworking.Pay conditions: Min $26.69 per hour to a maximum of $32 per hourHours of work: Minimum 30 hours guaranteedLocation: May require occasional travel to various regions across New Zealand.This is a permanent, full-time role.
