(Airport Oaks, Auckland, New Zealand) ABOUT THE JOB As a Maintenance Shift Engineer, you play a key role in ensuring our production line performance, managing downtime to a minimum and are integral decision makers on each shift. You will be part of our Maintenance team who support the running of our flagship manufacturing site in Auckland.
This is a shift-based position with a 2-2-3 shift pattern, working Night Shift from 5.45pm to 6.00am.
You will:
Be responsible for daily maintenance, problem solving and on-the-line trouble shooting
Drive improvement and performance initiatives across the plant
Instill within the team a safety culture and being a role model for safe work practices and contributing to the achievement of a zero harm workplace
Ensure work is tracked, recorded and reported back to the team
Be responsible for Contractor and Spare Parts management (as required)

ABOUT YOU
You must have a relevant Mechanical Trade Qualification level 4 and current NZ Electrical Practising license or Limited Electrical (EST A and B). You are technically proficient, a great team player and always approach your work with a positive attitude.
To be successful, you will also have:
Proven track record of Mechanical experience in an FMCG/Manufacturing environment
Minimum Trade Certificate in relevant mechanical field (Advanced trade desirable) and NZ Electrical Practising Licence
Excellent fault-finding and communication skills
Ability to work and make decisions without close supervision
Strong knowledge of Pneumatics, TIG welding, PLC / basic automation, EWP / forklift tickets (desirable) and Computer literacy
